Water Polo Table Officials Course
The course will be open to Swim England members who are 16 and over as of 2nd November 2024. This course is ideal for players, coaches and parents to learn and understand the rules and give back to the sport by officiating at local league games, regional and national tournaments and university BUCs matches.

Venue: Riverside Leisure Centre, Victoria Road, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 1FG
Time: 9.40am – 12.30pm Please bring your own snacks and drinks. There is a café on site.
Cost: £15
Car Park is paid via an app on site. British Water Polo League Tournament Weekend follows the course at the Riverside Leisure Centre which you are welcome to stay and watch
Regional Academy
Swim England East Region runs a Regional Academy, which is the start of the water polo talent pathway. Players who meet set criteria at the Regional Academy may be selected to attend the National Academy. At the National Academy, players have the opportunity to be selected for England teams.
Regional Academy 2024
The Regional Academy Training sessions for 2024 dates can be found below.
These session are for players born 2007 – 2011.
Registration for players for each session will close the Thursday before that session at 11pm. You will be unable to register after the closing date.
Registration for Coaches and Team Managers for each session will close the Wednesday before that session at 11pm.
If you have register for a session but are unable to attend please let the office staff know. Please note that if you do not attend the session the place is non refundable and non transferrable.
If you are attending the training session at the Royal Hospital School, Ipswich, registration on the day will be at 10:45am for a 11am-1pm session.
If you are attending the training sessions at the Riverside, Chelmsford, registration on the day will be at 3:45pm for a 4pm-6pm session.
If you are attending the training sessions at the Haberdashers School, Hertfordshire, registration on the day will be at 3:45pm for a 4pm-6pm session.

Saturday 16th November 2024 – Riverside, Chelmsford
All players born 2007 – 2011. Registration is from 3:45pm for a 4pm-6pm session.
Registration for players will close on Thursday 14th November 2024 at 11pm.
Registration for Coaches and Team Managers will close on Wednesday 13th November 2024 at 11pm.
The Region also organises trials and training sessions for Inter Regional squads that form an essential part in a player’s skill development.
