Entries open for the Festival of Swimming and Future Champions meets

Entries for the Festival of Swimming and Future Champions meets are now open and links to the relevant system can be found below.

The conditions for both meets have been added to the Swimming Competitions page which can be found here.

If a swimmer does not appear on the club list check that the swimmer is a Category 2 member. If they are not then the club will need to upgrade the membership in order for them to appear on the list.

Festival Entries – CLOSED

Para Entries for the Festival have a dedicated entry page CLOSED and Para Swimmers should enter via that page rather than the main online system even if they are fast enough for the non Para times as that way we can ensure they are correctly identified. There are some combinations of events and classifications that do not have Para times meaning Para swimmers can enter if they have achieved the time for non Para swimmers and the entry method allows for that, there is no need to do two entries.

The main Festival Entry system can be found CLOSED.

Stage One entries will close on Friday 2nd July at midday.

Festival entries should be done sooner rather than later as all swims that are covered by Stage One have already taken place. Early entry will better enable us to assess the opportunity for Stage two entries.

Future Champions Entries

The Entry system can be found here.

closing date for entries will be midday on Friday 9th July.

For Future Champions swims that could meet the consideration times are still taking place. Once an entry has been made it will not be possible to submit a faster time so the timing of making the entry needs to allow for Level X Time Trials planned by clubs appearing on rankings.

Volunteers Required

Applications are also open for volunteers to help as poolside volunteers or technical officials at these galas.   Application forms for all roles can be found here.

Refund status

All refunds for the 1500m Long Course event have been made via Paypal.

All refunds for the main Long Course events, including para entries have been made.

Long Course Championships 2020

News has reached Swim England East Region that the early May bank holiday in 2020 will be moved from Monday 4th to Friday 8th May to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Swim England East Region has held regional swimming championships using the three days of this weekend since the region was created in 2005, and it was our intention to do so in 2020. The schedule had been written and was due to be published this week.

Clearly yesterday’s news of a change of date will necessitate an amendment to these plans and we thank you for your patience whilst we consider the various options.
