The World Aquatics Masters Championships took place in Doha from 23 February to 3 March and we now have two world champions in the East Region.
Chris Ayers from South Beds Masters won 3 titles in the female 70-74 years age group: 50, 100 and 200 breast. She was also awarded silver medals in the 200 IM and 800 free. All five were East Region swimming records.
Lucy Ryan from Team Anglia Masters is the world champion in the female 50-54 years 200m breaststroke. She won silver medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke. All three were swum in East Region record times.
